The songs keep the game fresh and I like these new boss songs better than the base game bosses (excluding King Conga). He is a hip hop boss who raps on a stage to a crowd of skeletons, and I’m an absolute sucker for that. The third new boss who you can get regardless of which character you are playing as is one of my favorites, Fortissimole. Not sure how I would have fared otherwise. The second phase of her fight took me a bit to figure out my first run, but luckily I had a lot of hearts, a familiar that would freeze enemies, and an extra potion to revive myself when I died. The Conductor (electrically and musically) requires you to destroy instruments while she continuously summons different monsters and mini-bosses. Frankensteinway, clearly modeled after the famous piano brand, requires destroying electricity generators while avoiding the electricity he randomly generates on the floor. There are two new bosses who you can only fight when playing as Nocturna. Includes the crypt of the Necromancer: amplified DLC in cartridge/disc Crypt of the Necromancer: amplified is a prequel for crypt of the Necromancer.
She automatically transforms into a bat when on the verge of death to save herself, allowing you to live on for a bit longer. Other characters like Tempo who is limited by a timer, Mary who must protect her little lamb at all costs, and Diamond who can only move diagonally, bring interesting challenges to the game that I have not yet mastered. Includes the amplified DLC with all new characters, monsters and bosses, the amplified mini-disc soundtrack and a fold-out manual. The protagonist Nocturna is a vampire who can turn into a bat which gives her abilities like flight, special vision, and self-healing.
CRYPT OF THE NECRODANCER AMPLIFIED HEARTS FULL
It’s a prequel to the original and adds a fifth zone full of electricity with new monsters, loot, weapons, bosses, and characters. I previously wrote about one of my favorite games, Crypt of the NecroDancer, which also has a DLC, Amplified.
